In the wake of Hollywood’s Lindsay Lohan-esque addiction to remakes, I have decided to list a few movies that will never be remade.

Mind you, this is not a list that will include such hits as Killer Klowns from Outerspace and Masters of the Universe (puh-puh-puh please remake this!), this is a list of movies that Hollywood wouldn’t touch with the severed hand of Ash from Evil Dead due to their controversial content that, was commonplace when produced, and would now be a public relations disaster for any studio with the gonads to even spin it through the rumor mill.

The Ku Klux Klan. ‘Nuff said.

This isn’t even available on DVD, VHS, or Betamax. The closest you’re getting to this film is to go on Splash Mountain at Disney World.

It’s hilarious and it’s considered one of the best comedy films ever made, but it would be impossible to remake due to the fact that 90% of its jokes rely on racism and its absurdity. The NAACP would have a collective aneurism if this were remade.

There was a time when Spike Lee did more than heckle Reggie Miller from the sidelines; this was the result of one of those times.

Ever since that little Mel Gibson “I hate Jews” snafu, I don’t think anyone is going to want to remake his film where the Jews are essentially blamed for the death of Christ. Just a guess.

Best. Movie. Ever.
