I meant to point out a link within the Inkpunks article. John Scalzi shared a rather lengthy piece on making money as a writer (including his own financial figures) and I suggest that any aspiring fiction spinner give it a once, or twice, over.

Inkpunks published an article that examines the struggle of reaching for that writing dream while paying the bills with the 9-5.
