I mentioned a handful of months ago that my short story “Numb” was being transformed into a short film as part of several vignettes that will combine into a film a la Twilight Zone or Creepshow.

I am not overly happy with the short story, but I am confident that it will translate much better onto the silver screen – I wrote it knowing that it would be adapted and so I crafted scenes that would be much more visually stirring than verbally cognizant.

Why didn’t I just write a screenplay? Because I have no idea how to do so – I’ll leave that for the professionals – although I will be giving suggestions on bits of the first draft.

Filming begins in late August and I will be certain to update as production ensues – whether you like it or not.
