Fable – Fiction – Fairytale: Legal Apologies


I’m sorry that I’m sorry because that means I’ve hurt you.

There are better words for better times, but none are a barometer of regret as much as the simple word of sorry. It was inevitable that I would break your heart because I don’t even have the keys to mine.

It is a selfish, terrible thing that I do – and I wish I knew better, but the only thing I’ve ever been good at is ruining words with my actions.

For all of my prose, there is no poetry.

And now there is no you.
