Fiction – Fable – Fairytale: Light a Candle

Light a candle.

One for all the dreams you’ve burned and two for all the mistakes you’ve learned.

Light a candle.

Three for all the material you’ve sought and four for all the friends you’ve forgot.

Light a candle.

Five for all the words you’ve spoke and six for all the hearts you’ve broke.

Light a candle.

For all the glory and all the despair and all the moments that brought you there.

It may not sound like much and it may all be the same in the end, but light a candle for who you are, who you wish to be, who you’ve never been, and who will remember to light a candle again.
